Saalio® Iontophoresis-Set

The Saalio® Iontophoresis device is a very effective treatment for excessive perspiration, called hyperhidrosis. The application is very simple: you hold your hands or feet in the water-filled bowls. Weak electrical currents pass through the skin to the palms or soles of the feet and reduce the activity of the sweat glands.

The device has two modes: direct and pulse current. You can customize therefore your therapy. In case of severe hyperhidrosis, treatment with direct current is suitable, which quickly leads to success. Pulsed current is the suitable method for the particularly gentle application: ideal for sensitive body regions and for the maintenance of the effect after direct current treatment.

Please note that the armpit electrodes are not included in the set and must be ordered separately

Iontophoresis devices are included in the list of means and objects of the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH). Upon presentation of a medical certificate, your health insurance will cover the costs, up to a maximum of CHF 765.

Application

With the Saalio® iontophoresis device you receive detailed instructions for use. The application is simple and safe.

Advantages:

Not suitable for use if you:

• are pregnant
• wear a pacemaker or implanted cardiodefibrillator (ICD)
• are using metal intrauterine devices (IUDs) for contraception
• have metal implants in their arms or legs
• have large skin defects or wounds that you cannot cover with Vaseline
• Suffer from reduced sensitivity in your hands or feet, e.g. polyneuropathy.
• Have ever had cardiac arrhythmias or seizures (epilepsy).
• have malignant (malignant) diseases in the area of application
• have severe local inflammation or thrombosis (blood clots)
• suffer from severe circulatory disorders.

The application is not suitable for children under 6 years of age and persons suffering from dementia.
